How do I call in sick?

You must report sick by phone before 10 a.m. via our absenteeism phone number: 026 762 06 10 and before starting work at the company where you are employed.

No Brothers will forward your sick leave report to Acture, our partner in absenteeism. Acture will contact you the same day via SMS, and will then maintain regular contact about how you are doing. If you cannot be reached or do not respond to Acture's messages, this may have consequences for your sick pay.

You are entitled to continued salary payment in accordance with the daily wage calculation over the minimum agreed, average number of hours worked over the past weeks. However, you have 1 waiting day; this sick day is not paid.

Are you well again? Please notify Acture immediately.

How can I change my details?

If you have, for example, moved, you can send an email to info@nobrothers.nl with your new address. They will update this information in the system. If your passport or ID card has expired, or if you have a new bank account number, you will need to include a copy of both the front and back of your documents. If you receive travel expenses, please also inform your contact person so they can check if this ought to change.

How can I declare my worked hours?

Once your contract is ready and signed, you can declare your worked hours yourself every week via HelloFlex. On Friday afternoon, a declaration will be made available. You will receive an email notification and see a notification on the HelloFlex dashboard. If you do not receive a notification, always check under the declarations section to see if it is there.

Under 'Normal Hours', you fill in the number of hours worked per day. You can enter a maximum of 12 hours per day. If you have worked more hours, you can enter the remaining hours on another day. If you are entitled to daily travel expenses, please take into account the actual number of working days, otherwise the travel expense declaration will be rejected! If you are entitled to overtime or supplement hours, you will see extra lines in the declaration. Here you can enter the hours behind the correct percentages. When entering the hours, please pay attention to:

  • 15 minutes = 0,25 hour
  • 30 minutes = 0,50 hour
  • 45 minutes = 0,75 hour

Example: for a workday from 9:00 to 17:45 with a half-hour break, you fill in: 8.25 hours.

Once you have filled in all the details correctly, click on the 'Submit' button at the bottom right. Your supervisor will receive an email to review and approve your declaration.

Is it possible to enter my hours during the week without submitting them?

Usually the declaration for the week comes online on Friday afternoon. Once the declaration is ready, you can fill it in and save it (but do not click on submit!). However, be sure to submit the declaration at the end of the week and not forget to do so.

I have made a mistake in my declaration, what now?

Contact the No Brothers back office directly via info@nobrothers.nl or 085 - 485 54 15. They can reject your declaration so that you can make adjustments. If your declaration has already been approved by your supervisor, they can delete the declaration and prepare a new one for you.

Why hasn't my declaration been approved yet?

Perhaps your supervisor is on vacation, sick, or simply forgot about it? Drop by the person who usually approves your declaration and ask if they can take a look. If this person is not available, contact No Brothers to discuss what to do.

When will I receive my (4-weekly) salary?

If your declaration is approved in the same week, your salary will be transferred on Friday morning at the latest. Depending on your bank, the money will be in your account on the same day or the day after.

The 4-weekly payment for weeks 1, 2, 3, and 4 is made on Thursday of week 5.

Can I receive my salary monthly?

By default, the salary is paid weekly. If you prefer to receive it every 4 weeks, you can indicate this yourself. Unfortunately, receiving it monthly is not possible.

Why haven't I received my salary yet?

We are sorry to hear that you haven't received your salary yet, something must have gone wrong. The most common reasons for not receiving your salary on time are:

- You forgot to fill out your timesheet or forgot to click "Submit" after filling it out.
- Your timesheet has not yet been approved by the client. You can check the status in HelloFlex by clicking "Action" and then "History" in the top right corner of the timesheet.
- The week has not ended yet. Salaries are transferred on Fridays at the latest. If it's Tuesday and you haven't received your salary yet, it's likely that your salary will be paid in one of the following payments.

If it's not related to your timesheets, please contact the No Brothers back office via info@nobrothers.nl or 085-485 54 15 to find out what the issue might be.

What is payroll tax reduction and can I adjust it?

When you work, you are entitled to a reduction in your taxes (loonheffingskorting). Payroll tax reduction is a discount that ensures that you do not have to pay taxes on a certain portion of your salary. By paying less tax, you receive more net pay.

Do you work for more than 1 employer at the same time? Or do you have benefits and a job at the same time? Then apply for the payroll tax reduction with 1 employer. If you apply for the reduction with each employer, you will receive too much tax discount. You will probably have to pay back tax afterwards. You should apply the payroll tax reduction to the employer for whom you work the most hours.

Whether you want to apply the payroll tax reduction will be included in your contract. If you want to change the payroll tax reduction, send an email to info@nobrothers.nl with a newly completed payroll tax reduction form. You can find the form here.

What are reservations and how can I take them?

Reservations are a percentage of your salary that is set aside for vacation days, vacation pay, and short-term leave. In HelloFlex, you can find the amount of accrued reservations in the "Reservations" menu. You can also see this when you are filling out a declaration and click on the exclamation mark in the line "paid vacation days in hours."

Vacation days build up according to the number of hours you work, for 40 hours you build up about 4 hours of vacation. Short-term leave is reserved for, for example, a doctor's visit; you must request this separately. In consultation with the company you can take vacation hours or short leave. Once approved, enter the number of hours you want to take in your declaration under the line 'paid vacation hours'. Note: do not take more that you have accumulated!

Vacation pay is 8.33% of the gross salary, excluding allowances, etc. Vacation pay is reserved on top of each hour worked and is paid out at the end of May. For short assignments, vacation pay is often paid out directly on top of the gross hourly wage. You can ask one of our recruiters which applies to you.

You will receive payment for your accrued reservations no later than 6 weeks after you have worked for the last time.

Do I get travel reimbursement and how do I report it?

Whether or not travel expenses are reimbursed depends on your employer. You will be reimbursed for travel expenses if your colleagues who are in permanent employment at the company are also entitled to reimbursement.

If you are entitled to a reimbursement, you can report this in your declaration in HelloFlex. At the bottom of the hours worked declaration, you will find a bar where you can add mileage, fixed travel expenses or public transport costs. In the relevant line, enter the number of kilometers, the number '1' if you receive a fixed amount, or the public transport costs. For public transport costs, you also upload an overview of the incurred costs.

What is the difference between gross and net?

The difference between gross and net salary is the taxes and premiums that you have to pay as an employee. Gross is the amount before taxes and premiums are deducted, and net is the amount that you can ultimately spend.

The hourly or monthly wage stated in our job vacancies is always gross. This is because the amount of taxes and premiums depends on the number of hours you have worked per week and whether or not you have applied for wage tax credit. If you work varying hours, it may be the case that you pay less tax one week than another week and thus have more money left over.

Where can I find my payslip?

You can find the payslips for all weeks in the "Payslips" section of HelloFlex. A payslip will be available online no later than Friday afternoon after the payment.

Where can I find my annual statement?

Every year, in January or February, your annual statement appears in HelloFlex in the 'Payslips' menu.

Do I build up a pension?

If you are 21 years or older and work for 8 weeks through No Brothers (phase A), you automatically start building up pension through StiPP. You don't have to do anything yourself and you don't contribute any pension premium, No Brothers takes care of this for you. When you enter phase B (after 52 weeks worked), you will start contributing.

For which collective labor agreement (CAO) am I working?

No Brothers is affiliated with the ABU (Algemene Bond Uitzendondernemingen), the General Bond of Temporary Employment Agencies. The ABU is a union that represents the interests of 65% of the temporary employment agencies in the Netherlands. In addition to temporary employment agencies, zzp intermediaries, payroll companies, and other organizations in the flexible labor market are also members of the ABU. The ABU has its own collective labor agreement (CAO) for employees working in the flexible labor market. The ABU CAO is an agreement between the labor union and employers that outlines agreements on wages, days off, sickness, and the rights and obligations of a person working as a flexible worker. The content of the ABU CAO has been the same as that of the NBBU CAO since January 2020, to which some of No Brothers' labels were previously affiliated.

What kind of contract will I receive?

You will receive a temporary employment contract with No Brothers, supplemented by a confirmation of deployment with your client. The content of the temporary employment contract depends on several factors, including duration, number of hours per week, and the type of assignment. You are on contract with No Brothers, but work under the direction and supervision of the client.

What are phase A, B, and C contracts?

During your contract with No Brothers, you will go through a maximum of three phases according to the ABU collective labor agreement. The phases are counted based on the weeks you work. If you have a vacation break of 2 weeks in between, those weeks do not count. The phases and their meaning and duration are listed below:

- Phase A, 52 weeks: accumulation of holiday pay, holiday hours, and short-term leave, payment for public holidays, and pension accumulation after 8 weeks of work
- Phase B, 3 years: accumulation of holiday pay, holiday hours, short-term leave, pension, and payment for public holidays. Within 3 years, you may have a maximum of 6 fixed-term contracts and a notice period of one month.
- Phase C: indefinite contract with No Brothers

In HelloFlex in the "Phases" menu, you can look up which phase you are currently in. If you return to work as a flex worker after a break of at least 26 weeks, you will start again in phase A of the phase system.

What is hirer's remuneration?

The hirer's remuneration (inlenersbeloning) is applied when you work as a temp worker for a company. This basically means that you are entitled to the same wage and employment conditions as someone who is employed by the client on a permanent basis, has the same profile and performs the same work. The hirer's remuneration is determined based on the information that No Brothers receives from the client about matters such as salary, supplements, and travel expense allowances for its own employees, unless the collective labor agreement states that flex workers are exempt.

Do I have a notice period?

That depends on your contract. In phase A, you officially have a notice period of 1 day. If you want to quit at the company you currently work for, the end date is determined in consultation with the company and No Brothers. Do you have a phase B contract and want to terminate it prematurely? Then you have a notice period of one month. A phase B contract ends by default on the end date.

When do I have the right to a permanent contract?

When you are entitled to a permanent contract depends on the phase you are currently in and the type of contract you have with No Brothers. If you want to know what applies to your current situation, please contact our back office (085 485 54 15) for advice.

The company that you work for may, in consultation with No Brothers, offer you a permanent contract at any time.

If you remain on contract with No Brothers, after completing phases A and B (4 years), you have the right to a contract for an indefinite period. This can be with either No Brothers or your client company.
